Overall review – 52% of the reviews for this Char-Broil gas grill are very positive and accompanied by a 4 or 5 star rating. Only half of consumers being very pleased with something is not very encouraging, but it is important to realize that this is one of the cheapest full-sized, free-standing gas grills you can buy. Many reviewers seem to expect quite a bit for very little money. You can get this unit delivered to your front door for right around $100, including the shipping costs. That should tell you not to expect all that much out of this model. The positive reviews say this model works well and they like the low price. Those reviewers say this is a great no-frills, cheap option.

The negative reviews say this unit is cheap and flimsy. Well, the authors of the positive reviews pretty much agree there. This is indeed a cheap grill. You won't find the same heavy-duty materials and quality construction that you find on more expensive models.

One example of unrealistic expectations: you will find quite a few complaints within the reviews that the propane tank is not included, making this a more expensive product than it appears to be. That is true with almost all gas grills (if not all.) Take a look at even the $1,000 Weber Genesis models and you will see that the tank is not included. This is standard practice for varied reasons many of which are safety related. Please discount any negative reviews that complain about the lack of a propane tank.

There are also quite a few complaints regarding the assembly of this unit. Many people say it is difficult and time consuming to assemble. They also say the instructions are a bit confusing. There are a few people who say it is easy to put together and that the instructions were easy to understand. The level of difficulty will obviously depending on your individual skill level, but it is something to be aware of especially if you are not mechanically-inclined.
